The World’s Most Advanced Super Absorbent Soil Hydrogels
Engineered specifically for liquid retention with the ability to release moisture to the plant upon demand.
How it works
Dehydrated Hydrogels are tilled into the top 2″ – 4″ of topsoil prior to sod or landscaping being planted. When they are hydrated these crystals will absorb up to 400 times their weight in water (like diapers.) Then upon demand, releases the moisture (stored liquids) to the plant.
The Science behind AquaGreen:
When water or fluids come into contact with our Potassium based Super Absorbent Cross linked Copolymers (AKA Hydrogels) a reaction takes place and an electrical force pushes the inward structure of the particle away from the center via electrical repulsion. Small voids are created inside the particle drawing the water and other liquids inward which results in rapid swelling of the Hydrogels. When the water evaporates or is taken up by the plant, the particle shrinks and is ready for the process to repeat.
AquaGreen provides an environmentally safe soil ammendment. Our crystals are 100% acrylamide free potassium based, organic cross linked copolymers with water binding groups. In dry form, they are white, crystalline granules with a neutral pH and when hydrated, become a gel which retains fluids, even under soil pressure and in the presence of fertilizers and other soil additives. These crystals are characterized by high volume absorption and fluid retention and are available in a variety of crystal sizes for various soil requirements. A slow release fertilizer can be blended along with the crystals to provide for far faster plant establishment. Because more of these liquids are kept in the topsoil less runoff off in to the Florida aquifer.
Stop watering the Aquifer with your irrigation, retain the moisture in your topsoil.
